Lieutenant General Robert “Bob” Otto
Retired U.S. Air Force
The U.S. Air Force’s former top spy will give us a look at America’s major threats and why they matter. General Otto will share his perspective on China and Russia from a national security lens. His last assignment was in the Pentagon where he led Air Force Intelligence and worked alongside many of the people you see in the news. As a pilot who flew F-15s, U-2s, high altitude unmanned jets, and as the Air Force’s senior cryptologic leader, he will be able to tell us just how interesting the spy game can be.
Lieutenant General Bob Otto retired from active duty December 2016, after serving 38 years in uniform. During his career, General Otto held command at virtually every level, including squadron, group, wing, and agency commands. In his last assignment he was the Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) at the Pentagon. He was responsible to the Chief of Staff for policy, planning, evaluation, oversight, and leadership of Air Force ISR capabilities.
Bob won’t be sharing any national secrets, but he is willing to answer your questions and give you the inside scoop!
