This April the Washington Medical Case Management Association will offer an “Introduction to Industrial Hygiene and Workplace Health and Safety”. Presented by Dana L. Stahl, MS CIH, this presentation will cover impacts to human health from chemical, physical and biological environmental hazards, methods of assessing these hazards, and will provide an introduction to control methodology. These hazards exist in the environment in workplaces, communities, and in the home, although they are most highly regulated in the workplace. OSHA standards relating to workplace will be reviewed, followed by a discussion of hazards that are not currently regulated and are current areas of research.
