SW Washington Death Cafe at Seasons of Hope @ Community Home Health & Hospice Seasons of Hope Grief Center & Memorial Garden

Death & dying is a topic that society tends to avoid. At Death Cafe we dive right into the topic of death. “The Death Cafe model was developed by Jon Underwood and Sue Barsky Reid, based on the ideas of Bernard Crettaz,” Deathcafe.com.

Come join others in a safe and relaxing environment and we’ll sit together, drink coffee and tea, nosh on some food and cake, and of course, talk about death.

Death Cafe is a growing international movement. Conversation about whatever is on your mind regarding death takes place in small groups or in one circle, depending on the size of the group.

“Our objective is ‘to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives’.” – DeathCafe.com

There is no fee to attend.

Please arrive for an on-time start at 3pm. You may park in front of the building and also in the Elaine and Don Heimbigner Hospice Care Center parking lot.

Donations will be gratefully accepted. Please consider contributing to our finger-food potluck. Gluten-free and other alternatives always welcome (please make sure to label food items, especially for those people with food allergies and sensitivities).
