Dear Community, Friends and Family,

After weeks of enthusiastic anticipation, on April 10, 2016, I began my first official day as Executive Director of Brookdale Heritage Plaza. As the cliché goes, “I hit the ground running.” I am honored to be a part of the Brookdale family. My own family has been a great support as I have nourished my lifelong desire to care for seniors . I have worked in Skilled, Memory Care and In-Home Hospice Care; giving me the opportunity to meet another special and unique senior with a story to tell. As the new Executive Director, I am here to serve you, so you’ll always find my door open to residents and visitors. With the dedicated staff here at our community, we enjoy developing relationships with our residents and providing a family like atmosphere. One of the greatest advantages to living in a smaller community like ours, is that we can truly make the experience all about our residents. Our staff and residents are a family enjoying everyday activities as well as significant life events together. We were recently privileged to celebrate the 101st birthday of one of our dearest residents, Mrs. Sara Oliver. With over 15 years of working hands on with seniors, to be apart of her milestone celebration was nothing short of exceptionally magical. She is thriving and still living independently here at the place she calls “home.” One of our Brookdale promises has encouraged her to do so, “As a Brookdale resident, our promise is to help you navigate the experiences of senior living in all the places life leads you.” Our goal is for you to remain in your home for the rest of your life. It shows in everything we do. Now I would like to invite you to explore “the best kept secret in Albany, OR.” Whether you are just beginning to explore your options or if you’ve made your decision and just have a few last questions, my door is always open to you. I look forward to seeing you soon.
