McMinnville, Ore. – August 10, 2021 – Laura Larson has been named the senior director of community experience for The Springs Living. In this newly created role, Larson will be responsible for operational excellence of the resident experience, including culinary, resident relations, life enrichment and Footsteps memory care programs across our continuum of service.

That gift will serve her well in this new role,” said Brenda Connelly, chief operating officer of The Springs Living. “Laura’s future work in this role emphasizes our company’s commitment to understanding, defining, and replicating a quality community experience into the future.”
Most recently, Larson has worked at The Springs Living as the company’s regional director of operations since June 2014. In this role, she oversaw the operations of a number of the company’s communities in Oregon, including in Eugene, Medford, Salem, and The Dalles. Over the past seven years, in addition to regional responsibilities, Laura has facilitated the efforts of the company’s life enrichment and footsteps memory care programs.
Previously, Larson held a variety of other positions since joining The Springs Living in 2003 as director of operations. She contributed to the overarching operational platform of the business in addition to the creation of some of the innovative programs that The Springs Living has become known for.
Laura’s early career involved supporting people with intellectual disabilities, including individuals with co-occurring mental health and cognitive challenges. As a certified behavior specialist and trainer in positive behavior support, she provided training and consultation throughout Oregon. Larson attended Umpqua Community College and Arizona State University, where she studied psychology and special education.
Based in McMinnville, Oregon, The Springs Living owns and operates 18 senior living communities in Oregon and Montana, offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care services. Two additional communities are under development in Happy Valley, Ore. and Vancouver, Washington. Founded in 1996, the company is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
