Housecall Providers and CareOregon make their Partnership Official

We are excited to announce that Housecall Providers and CareOregon have signed an agreement as the first step toward a strategic partnership designed to increase access to and enhance home-based medicine across the Portland metro area. We anticipate that Housecall Providers will become a nonprofit LLC in the CareOregon family on May 31.

Housecall Providers and CareOregon share similar missions, goals and a commitment to underserved populations. We welcome their expertise in helping providers develop new operational strengths and greater service integration. Housecall Providers will essentially be a separate entity, keeping our name, providers and patients, services and location.
“We are thrilled with the prospect of working more fully with CareOregon, a longtime partner that shares our mission-driven commitment to vulnerable populations,” said Terri Hobbs, Housecall Providers executive director. “We believe this partnership will assist us in caring for more chronically ill people, while strengthening our team approach to home-based medicine.”
The Oregon-based community benefits company has been involved in health plan services, reforms and innovations since 1994, serving Oregon Health Plan (Medicaid) and Medicare members, and their communities.

Housecall Providers will continue to receive patients through our historical referral sources and over time, we plan to increase access to more chronically ill patients, both from CareOregon and other payers.
