Two Homeless Veterans To Be Honored at Howell, Edwards, Doerksen

Greetings:

I am honored to announce that Howell, Edwards, Doerksen Funeral Home in Salem, Oregon will be honoring the lives and service of Mr. William Squire and Mr. Steven Hill Jr.  through the Dignity Memorial Homeless Veteran Burial Program.   Mr. Squire served his country in United States Air Force and passed away on August 27 at the age of 83.   Mr. Hill served his country in the United States Air Force and passed away on September 16 at the age of 40.  Both veterans have no family to care for their funeral arrangements.

Please see the attached Press Release for service information.  The public is welcome and encouraged to attend to help us pay tribute to these veterans and honor their honorable service to our country. A guest book will also be available in the Funeral Home Lobby thru Oct. 8, 2015  for those who wish to pay their respects.

On a personal note:  These services are near and dear to my heart.  I can’t express enough the importance of honoring our Nation’s Heroes; Veterans who have no one else to stand for them when it is time to lay them to rest.  If you have never had the opportunity to participate or attend one of these services, I guarantee they are both honoring and humbling; something that shows the true power of community and exhibits great respect for our Armed Forces.

Should you have questions or would like to participate in the services for Mr. Squire and Mr. Hill please contact me at (503) 581-3911.

Regards,
